We set this dispenser up yesterday, and it does everything it’s supposed to do. I installed batteries and filled it with clear Soft Soap, and waved a hand underneath the electronic beam. Voila! A nice-sized dollop of soap lands in my palm. Can’t beat it so far, but we have only had it a day. I think I’m going to love having this on the counter. It looks very stylish, too.

Bought this to take back to my country. Worked irregularly for 15 days (miserable quantities of soap, etc. ). Stopped functioning on day 16. Contacted Simply Human, nice people, told me possibly a clog. Cleaned it thoroughly, changed batteries, changed soap brand. Guess what? It does not work. So now I have a pretty, useless, expensive gadget worth exactly zero. I have bought a really cheap soap dispenser and it works beautifully, even if it is not as pretty as that piece of junk I paid a lot for.

I purchased this dispenser after using it at a friend’s house. It does not work as well as I hoped it would. I have the same problem with only a drop or two of soap being dispensed.

We have three of these at my office. They all worked great initially. We had one go out because it just didn’t sense anything and we tried new batteries and it just died. Then several months later the one in our other restroom just started to dispense soap everywhere and keep running and running like the sensor was broken. The third one is still working one year after installation.

I did buy one for my house after we got them for the office because we loved them (before all the issues) and with this one I had a problem with a seal on the bottom of the unit obviously not in place correctly and the soap would seep out the bottom of the unit all over the counter. I’m still going to give it one more try and am trying to exchange it now, but for the cost of the unit it’s kind of expensive to just throw out.

I too have had nothing but problems with this product. I am now on my 4th “new” one in under a year. The first 3 had leaks that went into the battery compartment and out the bottom. . . What a mess! I love the concept and my 4th (and final) one has now lasted almost 3 months!! YIPPEE!! (sarcasm intended)
