I read everything Alton Gansky wrote, and it is one of my very favorite authors. His imagination has some remarkable novels really excellent. This book was different from his relatives. The protagonist is a woman – “Maddy”, the mayor of a small town. The first problem I had was in how the main character was represented. Gansky seems to believe that the cry, what do women, and embrace. There were so many tears and hugs, that finally got off a lot of time. I would not be able to stand as an example of such an emotional person. But of course, I continued to read because the story had really grabbed me. I waded in all the tears, to see what would happen. The mystery of Maddy abducted Who was it and why campaign workers, has been very good. It is obvious that someone wanted to destroy Maddy political future, to prevent them from running for higher office. At least seems that what is obvious from the story. I started to really get into the book and could not wait to see how the story would resolve itself. Then suddenly at the end, history has made such a ridiculous and unbelievable that I was very disappointed, turn left. People, I do not write negative things in a comment, especially if it is a book that many of one of my favorite authors. But this book is not just stack up the capacity of the writer. I hope Gansky turns back to the letter books Stanton, or one of his characters above, instead. I give it 3 stars because of how it is written until the end absurd. If you’re a fan who Gansky not miss one of his books, go ahead. But if you have not read his books before, do not start with this one – the others are much better!

The incumbent, as in some of his earlier novels (The Prodigy, Black Moon), Alton Gansky author shows that he, as you know a story with a maximum voltage and contains both a strong Christian themes, joy During his readers fiction faith.
In the small coastal town south of California at Santa Rita, the mayor of Madison “Maddy” Glenn noted that those who worked on his campaign first to disappear one by one – - with only a few drops of blood behind in the habits and relationships with its carefully arranged symmetrically opposite the reason why the point of abduction. But why the author went to his friends, not the mayor himself? When the beautiful (and only) West Judson policeman said: “I think they want something from you.” Soon, it is riddled with guilt: “I was feeling like a reincarnation of the typhoid Mary,” Maddy muses. Throughout history, every association appears to be the mayor an invitation to murder, assaults, kidnapping.
Know who they trust, beautiful widow takes Truccoli Celeste, the 19 year old daughter of one of his friends who have disappeared. When it became clear that someone she loves is in danger, the father and the mother of Maddy also move in paints and two Gansky as engaging, lovable parents. In the office, Randi Portman personal Maddy able to run things more smoothly, increasing the mayor to use and duration of the next member elections. As a father separated Celeste jets, for reasons never really explained, starting with Maddy and Sky followed, chaos occurs. Dr. Jerry Thomas, a middle-aged divorced woman, Maddy has known for years , add another dose possible romantic intrigue to the story.
Gansky done a good job in the first person to write as a woman, and sent forward with many false trails rabbit for the reader. He also wrote descriptions of Nice’s beautiful landscape of Southern California, where the story unfolds itself (although a preference for the word “azure”). It dance at overdescribes (flames in a home “as the goblins on St. Patrick’s and tears” as a piercing attack on a village Huns “). He sometimes falls on the machine hackneyed description of the novelist’s appearance as a sign they see themselves in a window or mirror. Gansky sometimes “said” instead of “shows” (“The Pier is a place of constant activity …”). It also makes many of his sentences the same length, instead of varying length for the reader’s pleasure. Readers can also unclear, although the plot revolves around a fire ant sting, which is apparently going on a boat on the sea (or is happening in a place where there is a surveillance camera near extension).
;
But all these points of light in what is a new tension enjoyable. Gansky knows how to update its readers, and the unit of blood drops, he used to have its part in history to have a deterrent effect on the reader. Although some scenes feel a little awkward transition, rather than the fluidity of history, the end of the novel redemptive few laps of Nice and surprises. This fast-paced story of intrigue in a small coastal town in southern California is welcome for lovers of fiction faith.

This book was a little crazy fun, until I was distracted by the property taken and abandoned transparent parallel stories. I have written to me, he graduated but was very disappointed with the apparent purpose.

Why are decent, normal sounding is to create a dialogue so difficult? I’m not even done with the book, but after all the mistakes and bad dialogue, I can not wait for the library and find something else. “You lose all your money, for example, and” You’ll love it. She is smart and pretty. Yes, when it comes to my friends with other friends who have not met, I always tell them the attraction of the other is ahead. Not exciting, or very good, but it costs so try it yourself!

I chose this book for my Kindle when it was offered for free download – now that I read, I’m glad that I did not invest any money. I give three stars, because I stay up late, hoping it would be something that came together to make the sentence more. That did not happen. The main character is not necessarily the line of the story was a bit stupid really nothing to inspire. There were too many opportunities for follow-up, is it not happened.
