homemade laundry soap (Duggar Recipe)

This is my first attempt at homemade detergent are. Sorry for the shaky video. My ds is 6 my producer and cameraman;) Duggar recipe for homemade laundry detergent: Homemade liquid detergent soap-front or top load machine best value 4 cups – hot tap water 1 Fels-Naphtha soap 1 Cup – Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda ½ cup Borax * – grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir constantly over medium heat until soap dissolves and is melted. -Fill a 5 gallon bucket half filled with hot tap water. Add melted soap, soda and borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill the bucket with hot water more top. Stir, cover and leave overnight to thicken. -Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soapy water and fill the rest with water. Shake before each use. (If the gel) Optional: You may 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add soap has cooled down again. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil. Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons. Machine-Top Load-8, 5 cup per load (about 180 charges), front-loading machine ¼ cup per load (about 640 charges) * Arm & Hammer “super washing soda” – is in some stores or online purchase here (at Meijer.com). Baking soda does not even Arm & Hammer laundry detergent – sodium carbonate, it should be!
